Surgery

The Shalyatantra Department at Tripunithura Government Ayurveda College Hospital is a leading clinical and academic unit, focusing on surgery, Para surgery, orthopedics, and gastroenterology. It functions on the third floor (4000 sq. ft.) with a 2500 sq. ft. air-conditioned operation theatre. Postgraduate courses began in 2006 with 5 seats (later increased to 6 in 2021), supported by a library (428 books) and seminar hall. In 2020, KUHS recognized it as a PhD research centre, with six scholars currently enrolled.
