OP No.1 Kayachikitsa

The Department of Kayachikitsa is established as the major clinical department and is essentially concerned with treatment of various diseases like hrid roga (cardio-respiratory disorders), udar roga (gastrointestinal disorders), yakrit roga (hepatology), manasikia roga (psychiatry), rasayana and vajikarana (geriatrics and aphrodisiacs) and vata vyadhi (rheumatology and neurology).

OP No 2 Special OP

In order to conduct the various research activities and to provide OP for the pre clinical departments, various departments conducting OP for five days
Monday: Rsasasthra & Bhaishajya Kalpana
Tuesday: Dravya Guna Vinjana
Wednesday: Adhishtana Sidhantha
Thursday: Rachanasareera
Friday: Kriya Sareera

OP No 3 Roga Nidana

This Department is concerned with treatment of various diseases and playing a major role in pathological aspects and make them updated with the contemporary diagnostic techniques and also improve the quality of understanding in the diseases of Ancient and modern wisdom.

OP No 4 Salyathantra

Salyatantra deals with the diagnosis and management of common surgical problems including emergencies, diagnosis and management of trauma, bone and joint injuries and infections, Application of Kshara and ksharasootra, Vrana Chikitsa, Application of leech and other raktamokshana procedures, Agnikarma ( Cauterisation) procedures

OP No 5 Panchakarma

To bring about equilibrium in the body Ayurveda prescribes Panchakarma- a curative line of treatment that works in the principles of sodhana chikilsa (elimination procedure). This Department also handles the treatment of General diseases.

OP Sections

OP No 6 Salakyathantra

This Department deals with the diagnosis and management of diseases of eye, ear, nose, throat, and head.

OP No 7 Agadatantra and Swastha Vritha on alternative days

Agadatantra : Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
The Department is engaged in diagnosis and treatment of cases of poisoning (both animate and inanimate)
Also, management of Gara visha, Dooshi visha and Viruddhahara, Alcohol poisoning etc. Diagnosis of twakrogas and its management is also taken up.
Swasthavrutha : Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Treatment of general diseases and its preventive aspects, management of communicable diseases.Yoga therapy and naturopathy is also undertaken by the department.

OP No 8 Prasoothi tantra and sthree roga

Diagnose and treats the common gynaecological problems, Manage normal pregnancy, Ailments of pregnancy and management in post-partum period. Ane natal and post natal advices are also given.

OP No 9 Koumarabhruthya

This department is handling neonatal Care, Protective measures for newly born children
Examination of diseased child and Diagnostic methods, General treatment in children, treatment of autism and other behavioural Disorders of children.

The OP division of the hospital is in five floors

Ground Floor
OP sections, hospital superintandants office, Pharmacy, Laboratory etc are in the ground floor. Dept of Kkayachikitsa,Panchakarma, Prasoothithantra are in this floor. 11 special pay wards are also there.

First Floor
Male general ward is situated here. There are 130 gereral wards and 16 special pay wards are there.Minor Panchakarma theatre and specialty panchakarma thetre for female are here. Night duty room, House surgeons room,Library hall for the patients, Dept of Shalakyathantra etc are there.
The hospital has a good physiotherapy unit and a yoga hall.

Second Floor
Female general ward is situated here.112 beds are there in female ward. 26 general pay wards also.

Major male and female Pancha karma theatre and minor specialty theatres are there.

Third floor
75 general female wards here are treated as paying wards. 18 special pay wards also. 4 deluxe rooms and are there. Pancha karma therapy for deluxe patients are done in deluxe pancha karma theatre.
Dept of Salyathantra, Salyathantra operation theatre and Prasoothi thantra OT are in 3rd floor. Female specialty Pancha karma theatre is also here.

Fourth floor
40 general male paying wards and 16 special pay wards are in the fourth floor.Dept of Agadathantra,Sswastha vrutha,Roga nidana and koumara bruthya with their physiotherapy unit are in this floor. Seminar Hall (a/c) of the hospital is in this floor.
